2020 Best Dressed House Competition
We all know that 2020 has been a tough year and we wanted to celebrate the amazing effort people make to light up the estate for Christmas. The displays this year have been better than ever and there is no doubt it has provided some much-needed cheer to all!
The original idea was for houses to be nominated by the community and a small panel of judges would then stroll around on Christmas Eve to jointly determine the winner. Unfortunately, the Tier 4 situation prevented that from happening however it became very evident from the number of comments on the original thread that there was a clear winner.
So the winner of the first Channels Christmas Best Dressed House competition, complete with giant snowman, is… Number 26 Fairway Drive!
Congratulations and the amazing Hotel Chocolat Wreath Box, kindly donated by [Romily], is on its way to you!
However we felt that as so many residents had made such an outstanding effort to brighten up the estate, a few other houses were worthy of a special mention. A kind Christmas elf (who has been walking round all of Channels, Beaulieu & North Springfield for weeks looking at Christmas lights!) set off at 5pm on Christmas Eve to collect a few other photos and to note what special touches caught her eye.
